Since its creation in 1990, the Baltimore-based Unity has been pleasing listeners with its unique, roots-based reggae music. Now an accomplished musical unit, Unity prides itself on its versatility.
From the very beginning, the band originally known as Natty Skank, has been a melting pot of various musical influences. Each member brings their own unique musical perspective which, when brought together under the umbrella of Reggae, creates a musical style that is unique but true to the roots-reggae style of music.
With 28 years of live performance experience as a group, Unity knows how to please a crowd. Having amassed a huge repertoire of original reggae and covers, no two shows are ever the same. Veterans of three U.S. tours, Unity has shared its message of positivity to thousands of happy music lovers of all ages in clubs, at festivals, colleges, weddings, and charity events.
Unity's latest release, Urban Music (2005) is their fourth, and contains music written over a 12-year period. Unity's performance highlights include sharing the stage with THE WAILERS, YELLOWMAN, BURNING SPEAR, GREGORY ISAACS, EEK-A-MOUSE, WAR, and MUTABARUKA.

Island Waves Steel Drum Band
Island Waves is a 3-5 piece instrumental ensemble that features the Tenor C Steel Pan. Let your guests arrive to up to an hour before the ceremony and enjoy background music with an island vibe. Once the ceremony is ready to get underway, we will play Pachelbel's "Canon in D."
When the newlyweds are ready to walk back down the aisle, they will do so to an island version of Mendelssohn's Wedding March.
Island Waves was created in 1999 from a request from a bride looking for a steel pan ensemble for a wedding. Unity Reggae Band was already scheduled to play her reception, so naturally we offered to help find a steel pan act to work with. Together, we called every agent that we knew and found nothing local at a near reasonable rate. In that moment, Island Waves was born.
